69Namitha was born on 10th May 1981 in a Punjabi-spoken family in the city of Surat, Gujarat. She is a bachelor in English Literature. Namitha’s first step in the glory was in the year 2001 when she was crowned as Miss Surat. She also participated in 2001 Miss India pageant, where she stood fourth. Celina Jaitley was the proud winner on that occasion.
But opportunities knocked on Namitha’s doors and she got several TV commercials like Himani Cream & hand soap, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutka, and Nile herbal shampoo etc. Namitha later moved to South Indian Cinema to try her luck and she some got major successes in Tamil Cinema. Namitha likes Tabu, Nandita Das and Paresh Rawal from Bollywood. In colors she likes Black and White colors and loves roses, particularly the white ones. Namitha is very conscious about her fitness and works out daily on her fitness. Swimming and plying Badminton are her favorite spots activities.
